AI-generated responses are anchored in your organisational data, such as files, emails, calendar, chats, meetings and contacts. Microsoft 365 Copilot combines this content with your working context, such as upcoming meetings, recent emails on a particular topic, or Teams chats from last week. Microsoft 365 Copilot uses this combination of content and context to provide accurate, relevant and contextual responses.
Microsoft 365 Copilot only surfaces organisational data to which you have at least view permissions.
The data about your Microsoft 365 Copilot interactions is processed and stored in alignment with contractual commitments with your organisation’s other content in Microsoft 365. The data is encrypted while it's stored and isn't used to train foundation LLMs, including those used by Microsoft 365 Copilot.
You can delete your Copilot activity history, which includes your prompts and the responses Copilot returns, by going to your My Account portal.
