Training Sessions

The Library and Knowledge Service can run training sessions for NHS staff and students on placement with the Trust. Sessions are free, and a certificate is provided for inclusion with your CPD records and / or Revalidation evidence.

Using the NHS Knowledge & Library Hub : An Introduction
This gives an overview of the resources available through the NHS internet-based portal and focuses on techniques for searching key resources including NHS OpenAthens e-books, e-journals, databases and much more.

Effective Literature Searching: Using Healthcare Databases
This session focuses on how to search NHS OpenAthens online databases including Medline, CINAHL and PsycInfo to find evidence to support patient care, decision making and research.

Finding the Best Evidence: Systematic Reviews and the Cochrane Collection
An introduction to finding the best quality evidence using online information resources such as the Cochrane Library.
