![]() It’s time for our Library Survey again! We have lots of questions for you; to find out what you want from your Library and Knowledge Service and how we can make it better for you. Do you use the library? Let us know what you think. What did you use? How did we help? Don’t use the library? We want to know why not! The survey is open to all MWL staff, as well as students on placement with us. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete, and you will have the chance to enter our prize draw to win a £25 Amazon gift card. Each article is quick and easy to read, with relevant links and thorough references provided. You can bookmark and return to saved articles, as well as creating your own CPD log within the platform. You can also track your reading hours on BJN inform and download your CPD log to add to any portfolio. There is also a dedicated BJN Inform Let's Talk Nursing podcast which covers interesting, current and relevant nursing topics and can be listened to via any podcast provider To access BJN Inform

BJN Inform is a new and exciting way of accessing interesting and useful content, as well as an innovative way to keep up to date with your CPD. The Libraries at Southport and Ormskirk are taking part in this year’s Green Libraries Week, with some fantastic initiatives and promotions.
The trial of the new MWL Seed Library will be officially launched on Tuesday 8th October outside the canteen at Southport. Library staff will be available to explain all about how staff can get involved in this exciting initiative and to encourage and support Trust staff to get growing! Plus, we’ll have some gardening giveaways on the day too. More details about the Seed Library can be found here. The Library will also unveil its new online sustainability newsletter, the Green Gazette. This is a quarterly publication covering the latest news, research, ideas and tips about all things green! In this podcast, the host – Samina Hashimi, editor of BJN inform – will chat to nurses about their real-life experiences and share practical tips that listeners can apply to their practice. In the first six-episode series, the podcast will be dedicating two episodes to each of the non-clinical pillars of BJN inform: person-centred care, nurse wellbeing, and career development. Guests will share their insights, personal experiences and three key actions that they want listeners to come away with and start implementing into their practice. It is full of information including local and online events, film list, information about LGBTQ+ historical figures in medicine and healthcare, articles written by Trust staff and much more. The Proud@MWL Staff Network will be hosting an online lunchtime talk by Dr Michael Brady FRCP (He/Him) - National Advisor for LGBT Health, NHS England. He will be speaking about ‘issues faced by the workforce and ways we can support them and how we can deliver more inclusive workplaces’. There will be a questions and answer session at the end of the event. The talk will be on Tuesday 27th February at 12:15-1:15pm, via MS Teams.
